This image was the trickiest for me because for the “literal” part, i could easily come up with all sorts of medical pains, food poisonings and so forth, which i did. I was tied between choosing a burger that isnt well cooked or just mold on a bread. I chose bread because it was simpler and straight to the point. However, as for the “metaphor” part, i struggled to find something that was not another form of physical sickness. I thought of how ideas could spread and the whole concept of deciet and like how people’s minds can be influenced by just one person. I thought of politics and the use of propaganda, i googled some pics and found one of a sheep captured by a wolf. this whole idea came gushing to me about how like we as people are like sheep and if we dont have a good sheperd, the wolf will get us and so on… Then obviously i changed my mind because it was far too complicated and i mean come on its being compared to a piece of bread so i was like nope, not today i wont be using this pic.
umm so basically, i searched again but then went back to the idea of disease and thought of something that was widespread and super deadly, and the black plague popped up. It seemed interesting at first and i found all these weird but cool pics and stuff but like it wasnt really elaborating “metaphorically” in a way that could relate to the molded bread because firstly, the black plague was caused by rodents. So that idea got cancelled. on the other hand, whilst i was on the black plague search, i came across this picture that resembled the molded bread in a way that it was syntactically connected. this was because the bread had a few pieces of mold crumbs on the side and that pic was a line of stick figured people with one that was walking ahead. i felt like since that one figure was in red and those crumbs were out, its like they are both somewhat ready to spread the bacteria across from its original place. so i stuck to that.
